Futuristic technology prints 1,000 face shield components per day

Northwestern University researchers have demonstrated the ability to generate 1,000 components for face shields per day — with a single 3D printer. A critical piece of personal protective equipment (PPE), face shields protect health care workers from the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) as they treat patients.
